Of the brands tested, 90% of the paper straws contained PFAS, compared to 80% of bamboo straws, 75% of plastic straws and 40% of glass straws. None of the steel straws contained the chemicals.
Wait a second. Glass straws contained them. Why??
Here's a YT vid that covers lawsuits over this in fire fighting foam.
This has been a funny time. Over the years in the past I would search for "California Woman Sues" and do a check for "California Man Sues". The number of women stories overwhelmed the number of men stories. This time, many of the "women" stories are just too serious to highlight. So, I thought I would cover both.
Environmental scientist Dana Nuccittelli accuses University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) atmospheric scientist John Christy of “manufacturing doubt about the accuracy of climate models” at a May 13 hearing before the House Natural Resources Committee. Nuccitelli claims Christy’s testimony “played rather fast and loose with the facts.” Those allegations are incorrect.
In my early days as an engineer, I used a lot of charts and correlations in my work. Unfortunately, nowadays, many of these are "invisible" since they are embedded in computer code. Because of this, there is a missing intuitive link where we don't get to visibly gauge the accuracy of numbers we use.
That is why this chart is so important. We can visibly see and attest that the models are not only wrong or in error, but are utterly and completely useless in our decision making process.
What happened: Erica Berry, a female writer from Portland, Ore., announced in a New York Times guest essay that she brings up climate change "on first dates" and refuses to pursue relationships with men who don't share her obsessive thoughts and anxiety about global warming.
What she said: The author describes breaking up with her last boyfriend because he wasn't enthusiastic about having constant "conversations about our planet's future" and how local officials could "support vulnerable citizens through better infrastructure."
This just goes to show how the present narrative has struck fear into everyone. Which also shows that if you say a lie long enough and loud enough people will believe it.
I just thought it would be worth reminding people about this. This was the pivotal historic moment when the blowhard Goliath was slain. He goes into battle full of haughtiness and empty words of threats, only to have his story fall apart, thus slain.
Some years ago, Dr. Tim Ball wrote that climate scientist Michael Mann “belongs in the state pen, not Penn State.” At issue was Mann’s famous “hockey stick” graph that purported to show a sudden and unprecedented 20th century warming trend. The hockey stick featured prominently in the IPCC’s Third Assessment Report (2001), but has since been shown to be wrong....
What happened was that Dr. Ball asserted a truth defense. He argued that the hockey stick was a deliberate fraud, something that could be proved if one had access to the data and calculations, in particular the R2 regression analysis, underlying it. Mann refused to produce these documents. He was ordered to produce them by the court and given a deadline. He still refused to produce them, so the court dismissed his case.
The rules of discovery provide that a litigant must make available to opposing parties documents that reasonably bear on the issues in the case. Here, it is absurd for Mann to sue Ball for libel, and then refuse to produce the documents that would have helped to show whether Ball’s statement about him–he belongs in the state pen–was true or false. The logical inference is that the R2 regression analysis and other materials, if produced, would have supported Ball’s claim that the hockey stick was a deliberate fraud on Mann’s part.
The world-renowned Nobel Prize-winning scientist Dr. John Clauser has become the latest target of a cancel campaign after he declared that the so-called “climate crisis” narrative is a hoax.
Clauser’s comments drew widespread attention following recent reporting from Slay News.
Clauser, the co-winner of the 2022 Nobel Physics prize and one the world’s leading authorities on quantum mechanics, spoke out to warn the public that the “climate crisis” narrative being pushed by the global elite and their allies in the corporate media is a hoax.
He blasted “climate emergency” claims as a “dangerous corruption of science that threatens the world’s economy and the well-being of billions of people.”
Clauser, who was also awarded the 2010 Wolf Prize in Physics, the second most prestigious physics award after the Nobel, warns that misguided climate science is a hoax that is being driven by “massive shock-journalistic pseudoscience.”
And why did he speak out so forcefully against the "Extreme Climate Boiling" crowd?
Because Dr. Clouser has nothing to lose. He's made his permanent mark in the Physics Space and really doesn't give a shit what you think of him. The younger science crowd who wholeheartedly agree with him don't dare say anything knowing that if they go against the Narrative, they will be summarily fired. You can't pay your mortgage or send your kids to private school with zero income.
It is utterly foolish to somehow think that higher levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide would not do this. If you own a greenhouse, perhaps - or perhaps not - you looked at getting something like this installed:
Some of the text reads:
TNB Naturals CO2 Dispersal Canister is the best and most efficient way to get the proper amounts of CO2 to your green house, tent or indoor garden. This product will eliminate the need of dangerous propane burners and regulating equipment. This brilliant way of delivering CO2 into the atmosphere is all natural and just takes luke warm water to activate. Each canister lasts up to two weeks and has the potential to double production on all plants.
Double? May be overstated. But just the same, they do work.
And from this we see that there has been a greening of the world due to the rise in CO2.
From a quarter to half of Earth’s vegetated lands has shown significant greening over the last 35 years largely due to rising levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide, according to a new study published in the journal Nature Climate Change on April 25.
An international team of 32 authors from 24 institutions in eight countries led the effort, which involved using satellite data from NASA’s Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectrometer and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer instruments to help determine the leaf area index, or amount of leaf cover, over the planet’s vegetated regions. The greening represents an increase in leaves on plants and trees equivalent in area to two times the continental United States.
