The Left is constantly trying to brand conservatives a racists.  In this video the Leftist are proud of the fact that the USA will be become "brown".  But the real issue is not whether the USA becomes brown, white, yellow, purple or orange.  The issue for Americans is whether or not the USA become SOCIALIST.

All you "brown" people who think the Left is part and parcel with you and joined at the hip, that's what Blacks thought at one time.  And many, MANY of them have awaken from their stupor in Rust Belt cities and counties with no job, no dignity and no way out of the poverty and hell hole they are entrapped within.

The same will happen to you.  Choose your side wisely.  Siding with the Left will be your undoing in the end.  Conservatives don't give a SHIT what color you are. THEY DON'T CARE.

CA Counties/Cities Rejecting Sanctuary Status

Maybe not like a rushing wind, but a pushback to be appreciated.  Thank God! The Level Headed are taking on the CADS (California Deep State).  But...there are 58 counties and almost 500 municipalities in CA.  I want to see more.

Tuolumne County Not A ‘Sanctuary’ Jurisdiction
Following in the footsteps of some other counties in the state, the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors voted to declare that the county’s policies comply with federal immigration laws and the county does not constitute a “sanctuary” jurisdiction.
Shasta County declares itself 'no sanctuary' in narrow vote
“Our country has a tremendous legal path for immigrants in the United States of America. I support and will remain always supportive, with open arms, to welcome all who want to legally immigrate to the United States of America. That’s how my family got here and I’m proud of that. I do not support those who came into the country illegally and want to remain here against the force of law,” Baugh said. “The state of California has put us in a position of having to have conversations like this.”
Victory! California City Rejects Sanctuary State Lawlessness
When all seemed lost, a little city made the move to help Make California Great Again. Los Alamitos, the second smallest city in Orange County, just passed a huge ordinance asserting the city’s compliance with the United States Constitution. Specifically, in an unprecedented yet necessary state, the council voted to opt out of the immoral, unconstitutional mandates of SB 54, aka the California “Values” Act or Sanctuary State law.
Orange County votes to join Trump administration lawsuit against California sanctuary law
The Orange County Board of Supervisors voted on Tuesday, March 27 to join a Trump administration lawsuit against California’s controversial sanctuary law. The board’s vote may mark the biggest maneuver yet in a nascent local movement against California’s law to protect people residing illegally in the country. The board announced its unanimous decision after discussing the matter during a closed session Tuesday.
San Diego County to Join Lawsuit Against SB 54, California's Sanctuary State Law
“The United States of America v. The State of California, a case alleging that a state law that limits cooperation with federal immigration officials is preempted by federal law, by a vote of 3-1, with Supervisors Jacob, Gaspar, and Horn voting “Aye” and Supervisor Cox voting “Nay” and Supervisor Roberts absent, authorize County Counsel to file an amicus brief supporting the position of the United States at the first available opportunity, which is likely to be on appeal.”

Christians Scared Away From California

This is a shame.  If for no other reason, the people need to hear God's Word in the midst of horrifying new laws that the despotic one-party socialists have wrought.

Could we see the day in CA that secret missionaries will smuggle Bibles into the State?

See Christians hunted down?

See Christians thrown into jail because even just trying to witness to a supposed homosexual would be considered "Conversion Therapy"?

As much as I want to think this would be a preposterous fantasy, at this point could we really rule it out knowing how antagonistic the State is?

And it'snot just CA.  This is happening all over the USA, as the article brings out.

This all means there is no religious freedom in the USA anymore.

Berkeley task force blames conservatives for leftist violence

"Those Conservatives are saying mean things!!"  How utterly, utterly stupid.  Not a single conservative is fomenting violence.  Only the LEFT is doing this.
“Although of course many things changed during the 17 months between Shapiro’s campus engagements, our conclusion is that the rise of ultra-conservative rhetoric, including white supremacist views and protest marches, legitimized by the 2016 presidential election and its aftermath, encouraged far-right and alt-right activists to ‘spike the football’ at Berkeley,” the commission writes.

“This provoked an at-times violent (and condemnable) response from the extreme left, tearing at the campus’s social fabric,” the document adds.

The report goes on to contend that all of the events that sparked protests last year “were sponsored by very small groups of students working closely with outside organizations,” asserting that “at least some of the 2017 events at Berkeley can now be seen to be part of a coordinated campaign to organize appearances on American campuses likely to incite a violent reaction, in order to advance a facile narrative that universities are not tolerant of conservative speech.”
So, to call the Right as the "Right" they are now called the ULTRA Right. Saying their speech PROVOKED at times violence is stupid.  No one PROVOKED anything.  The plan each time was to foment violence to STOP FREE SPEECH.

The "study" only whitewashed the issue and continued the meme that Conservsative have no right to speak PERIOD.

GET OUT OF CA!!!  NOW!!  The Left doesn't give a SHIT about free speech.  GEt that through your skulls.

The coming ethnic cleansing.

I love the bravery of these men and women.  I love the fact they are finally standing up for what is RIGHT and JUST.'s too late.  What I see happening is these Legal Constitutional Citizens of the USA will be hunted and cast out of the state..if not worse.  They need to get out of CA.

BPS hits another one right out of the park.

The Slide to ignorance and darkness::British schools are removing analog clocks from classrooms because kids can't read them

I'm stunned.  I can already see next year's headline "Schools remove books because students can't read them."
Schools in the United Kingdom are beginning to remove analog clocks from the classroom — because students are complaining that they can’t read them, reports say.

Officials have begun replacing the traditional clocks with digital ones as children have been unable to tell the correct time on analog clocks, The Telegraph reports.

“The current generation aren’t as good at reading the traditional clock face as older generations,” Malcolm Trobe, deputy general secretary at the Association of School and College Leaders in England, told the publication. “Nearly everything they’ve got is digital so youngsters are just exposed to time being given digitally everywhere.”
I learned to tell time from a clock....because I learned it in school.

What kind of shitty, pathetic, stupid and uncaring teachers are there in the UK?

Government to Crack Down on Homeschooling over ‘Extremism’ Fears

UK, I know you think by enduring you perceive yourself as long suffering.  But you have to take a stand sooner or later.  Why wait until later?  Stand up now!

The government’s move to crack down on homeschooling comes after schools watchdog Ofsted described the fact that local authorities have no right to investigate whether children are being home-educated as a “loophole” which is exploited by Islamic extremists.

“The Government needs to have a really long serious hard look about how it can close that loophole,” Ofsted chief operating officer Matthew Coffey told The Telegraph, adding that the lack of a national database on children who are homeschooled is a “real source of frustration” for the schools regulator.

Along with issues such as unsafe premises and inappropriate forms of punishment, the report raised concern over the prospect that children would receive “inadequate preparation … for life in modern Britain” in out-of-school education settings.

Requirements that educators promote “British values” defined as “tolerance and respect for others”, and “prepare children for life in modern Britain” have caused some contention, with critics warning that the latter category is being used to penalise schools in rural areas which have been insufficiently ‘enriched’ with ethnic minority pupils.
Who are they kidding?  We see what happened to children who were being raped for decades in Thelford and Rothingham AND NO ONE DID A DAMN THING ABOUT IT.

So we know what will happen in homes where children are being homeschooled.  It will go something like this:

1) You are a devout Christian and your three children have up until the laws changed been model students, getting their work done and making good grades.  But upom inspection, the authorities will decide you are intolerant bigoted people.  The parents will be accused to teaching hate with crosses hanging up in their homes. Not only will the British Government insist that all the crosses come down, they will within a couple weeks, make a surprise visit and take the children away.  To save them from Christian HATE ya know.

2)  There will be a knock on the door. The local authorities are checking in on the children. The father will open the door.  Immediately, the authorities will bend over backwards apologizing for the mix up.  They will start to cry for the stupid mistake they made by coming by the moslem household - it would all be considered Hate by doing something like this. But, no, the authorities are not filled with hate. No WAY!

The authorities will ignore the screaming sounds of children being raped in the back room.  Why, to even bring up the possibility children are being mercilessly treated, no matter how true, would be RACIST.

The UK is turning into an utterly twisted perverted negative film of what it used to be.  God help us in the USA if we turn into this.

Look for FEMA camps in the UK.  Not here.

Not yet.

Facebook Bans German Historian for Saying 'Islam Is Not Part of German History'

Hard to imagine (or maybe it isn't anymore).  I think it's time to decentralize these effing social media platforms.  Have something to say.  Get your own damn website!
Last month, Facebook censored a German historian who posted a message about Islam's historic impact on Germany. Facebook banned the historian for 30 days, even though 76 percent of Germans agree that Islam does not "belong to Germany."

Michael Hesemann, a journalist and Vatican historian with an honorary doctorate for his work in uncovering documents from the Armenian Genocide, posted a message that Facebook said did "not correspond to our community standards." The offensive message was an accurate — if overstated — historical statement.

The Death Of Silicon Valley: It Begins: California Senator Introduces Bill to Kill Free Speech, Requires State-Sanctioned Fact Checkers to Approve Online Content

So, what if CA eventually becomes Right Wing?  Does this mean we can put FAKE NEWS on Leftist websites???

This bill would require any person who operates a social media, as defined, Internet Web site with a physical presence in California to develop a strategic plan to verify news stories shared on its Web site. The bill would require the plan to include, among other things, a plan to mitigate the spread of false information through news stories, the utilization of fact-checkers to verify news stories, providing outreach to social media users, and placing a warning on a news story containing false information.

(a) Any person who operates a social media Internet Web site with physical presence in California shall develop a strategic plan to verify news stories shared on its Internet Web site.

(b) The strategic plan shall include, but is not limited to, all of the following:

(1) A plan to mitigate the spread of false information through news stories.

(2) The utilization of fact-checkers to verify news stories.

(3) Providing outreach to social media users regarding news stories containing false information. (4) Placing a warning on a news story containing false information.

(c) As used in this section, “social media” means an electronic service or account, or electronic content, including, but not limited to, videos, still photographs, blogs, video blogs, podcasts, instant and text messages, email, online services or accounts, or Internet Web site profiles or locations.
Finally, something that will make us safe!!!  SNARK!!

Has the California backlash against liberal craziness finally begun?

Well, we can always hope!

Ronald Reagan was a Democrat for many years before switching to the Republican Party. When asked why he changed parties, he said, “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party - the Democratic Party left me.” That seems to be a sentiment being echoed by Common Sense Californians up and down the state as many blue blood Democrats and Reagan Democrats feel like their party no longer reflects their values or priorities. Though it’s unlikely that a singular candidate or issue will fully unite the state, California would be smart to put forth common sense candidates who are talking to – and listening to – common sense Californians from both sides of the political aisle. Those who predict a blue wave across the nation and count on California forever being blue from San Diego to Crescent City might want to take notice of the red ripple which has begun in the Golden State – not in Sacramento – but in cities and counties where common sense Californians still reside.

To Absurdity And Beyond

Jeff and Sarah have always worked to be the perfect hosts.  Having his next door neighbors, Bill and his wife Janet, over for a nice dinner was pretty much a success.  The conversation was light dealing with children who were all grown living in various far flung parts of the country.

Janet was especially proud of their daughter.  “We almost gave up on Ellen.”

Jeff smiled and looked up to Heaven. “Oh, I remember!”

Sarah laughed thinking back to the many conversations she and Janet had trying to figure out a path forward.  “But she went on to graduate from MSU near the top of her class.  What a change!”

Jeff refilled everyone’s glass with a nice Merlot he always kept for the perfect dinner.  “So let’s toast success!”  They all laughed and raised the glass.

“Cheers!” they all said together clinking their glasses.

“Bill, want to enjoy a cigar with me out on the back porch?”

“I think that’s a great idea.” Bill said with a contented smile that was punctuated with a twinkle in his eye.  “Got anything to go with it?”

“Bill, you know I do.  I always do.  Want a gin and tonic?  I also have some whiskey -”

“Whiskey!” He said with a slap on the table – almost like he had just walked into an old western saloon after a hard day after a round up.  “There’s nothing between me and my pleasure with a whiskey.” The women laughed.

“Then it’s done. Let’s go.”

It was dark outside.  Bill took a draw from his cigar and blew the smoke out into the back yard.  The flood light lit it up as it spread out and disappeared into the night.  It was still early in the spring and it was mostly quiet with only the sotto voceof the small number of insects that populated the creek in the back.  No mosquitoes yet.

Bill said, “You know the secret to enjoying a cigar?”  He turned to look at Jeff who was still staring into the night. “Don’t inhale.”

Jeff chuckled.

“Jeff, great dinner.  We always appreciate you inviting us over.”

Jeff smiled.  But, it wasn't Jeff that invited them over.

“Bill, you asked to come over.” He quickly added, “But, I’m not complaining.  We adore you and Janet.  In fact, I felt bad I hadn't had you over sooner.”

“Yes,,,yes I did.” There was a slight pause. “I need to talk to you about something.  I got hit with a double whammy.”

Jeff puffed on his cigar and took a sip of his whiskey. “Double whammy, eh? I’m taking you to mean the whammies weren't good.”

“No.  Not good at all.  We received a couple of letters last week. One was from the state of California.  The other from my pension.”

“What?  Oh.  I’m almost afraid to ask, but go ahead.”

“You ever hear of Proposition 65?”

“Are we talking California?  I know the people directly vote on these, uh propositions. I remember prop 13 back in the seventies.  It limited how the state and localities could tax property.”

“Oh yeah.  That was the good one.  But this one, prop 65, is the bad one.”

“What does that have to do with you?  What’s it about?”

The letter said I was in violation of prop 65.  I didn't have a cancer warning on my products I sold there.”

“What?  But…” Jeff stuttered. “I thought you sold shoes.  Don’t you have some sort of import license thing?  You get the orders online and then drop ship them to buyers?”

“And you are correct.” Said Bill.

“How many shoes do you sell?”

“It’s maybe a few hundred a month. We make a few dollars a pair.  So, it’s a nice extra income to, uh supplement my…uh… pension.”

“But how many do you sell to folks in California?”

“I think in total it’s been maybe a hundred over the past couple of years.”

“That’s all?  So, you’re in violation.  Put the stupid warning on the shoes.  Problem solved.”

“Well, it doesn’t work that way.  I have to pay per violation.”

“W…what?  Per violation?  What is it, 10 bucks a pair of shoes?  20 bucks?  What are we talking about?” Jeff was hoping against hope.

“I don’t know the exact number, but my lawyer says the total could be in the tens of thousands of dollars”

Jeff almost spilled his drink. “That…that doesn't sound fair at all, that’s- “

“- California.” Bill finished the sentence for Jeff. “That’s California.”

Jeff was flustered.  It sounded…weird.  It sounded unjust.  It sounded perverted…and corrupt.

“Who gets the money?” Jeff asked.

“The lawyers.”

“Anyone else?  Maybe the people who bought the shoes?”

Jeff put his drink down swinging his head back and forth.   “This just doesn’t seem right.  Seems so…draconian.”

There was a pregnant pause.

Jeff asked “so what about your pension?” The question came out a bit more cynical then he meant it to.

“It got cut in half.”

“Half!  Half?  I thought when you retired from the steel mill in Birmingham it was fully funded.”

“It was then.” Bill took a deep draw from the cigar and ejected the smoke twenty feet out. Jeff hoped he didn't inhale it in order to achieve that feat.

“After the 2008 crash.  The company never fully recovered.  They took profits and floated bonds to buy back stocks to prop the stock price up.”

He turned to look at Jeff. “Every year I would get my statement on the funding of the pension.  I saw it drop from a hundred and ten per cent, to ninety per cent to eighty six per cent to seventy five per cent, sixty per cent, fifty five, forty five, thirty per cent.  Thirty per cent.  And the company did nothing.  Nothing to try to fund it.”

“Bill, I’m sorry. This is devastating.  I..I don’t know what to say.”

Bill sort of chuckled.  “Well, misery loves company.  Everyone was hit. We’re talking a sum total of twenty thousand employees over fifty years’ time.”

“Sorry, Bill, I don’t see a lot of love in that.”  Jeff was hoping he wouldn't be insulted by the comment. The comment was directed at those who ran the steel company into the dirt.

“Where does this leave you?  Are you ok – as far as your income?  To support you and Janet?”

“Uh, yeah.  Oh, we’ll have to cut a few corners.  I guess I’ll have to try to sell more shoes.”\

“But not to California, right?”

Bill chuckled.  “Yep.  Yep. Not California. Oh, and I’m not the only one.”

Jeff Perked up.  “Really? How so?”

“Well…I wouldn't call it a movement. But I've been in contact with others who had fallen into this...trap with California.  Would you believe dozens and dozens of other entrepreneurs now refuse to do business with people in there?”

“In California? Why does that not surprise me?”

“Oh yeah.  And the list of goods and people is growing.  We’re talking farmers.  We’re talking contractors.  We’re talking electronics. You name it. “

“That’s news to me.  I didn't realize it was getting to that point.  I had read a couple of articles of companies leaving, but this ratchets up the scenario a few notches.”

“Well…” Bill backed off a bit.  “We’re not talking billions or even millions of dollars of business.  But this is just the beginning.”

Jeff remembered something. “Ever hear of the term ’to absurdity’?”

Bill answered “I know what an absurdity is.  But ‘to absurdity’?  No.”

Jeff took a few puffs on the cigar to keep it going. “Take a scenario.  Any scenario that is, say, at the beginning of developing.  Now project it out to its absurd limits – to absurdity.”

Bill guffawed.  “Yes!  That’s California all over!”

“So, if we can take Prop 65 to its absurdity – and if they can say shoes cause cancer – what would they NOT find causing cancer?”

Bill was beside himself.  He didn't know whether to laugh or get mad. “Damn, Jeff!  That’s what happened!  You can walk into some stores there and every article has a cancer warning!”

Things got quiet again.

Bill swirled his whiskey around, listening to the ice tinkle against the glass. “So…where do you think this is going to end for them?”

Jeff threw his head back, downing the rest of his whiskey…squashed the cigar into the ash tray and said:

“How do you think?  No one will want to go in. And those left in the state won’t be able to get out.”

Why Are States So Strapped for Cash? There Are Two Big Reasons

Money for roads.  Nope.
Money for 911 call centers.  Nope.
Money for pensions. Nope
Money for trash pick up. Nope
Money for Motor Vehicle license processing?  Nope
Money for schools.  Nope
Money for hospitals. Nope
Money for fire fighters.  Nope
Money for first responders.  Nope
Money for highway patrol.  Nope
Money for police. Nope.

The basic services we have grown to expect won't be there.

Or....what little we get will be very very expensive.

From the Wall Street Journal
As state and local officials prepare their next budgets, many are finding that spending decisions have already been made for them by two must-fund line items that barely mattered when baby boomers such as Mr. Leavitt were growing up: Medicaid, the state-federal health insurance program for the poor and disabled, and public-employee health and retirement costs.

These days, they consume about one out of every five tax dollars collected by state and local governments. That is the highest share since Medicaid was created in 1965. Postretirement health benefits, which are harder to quantify, add to that burden and have cumulatively cost states more than $100 billion since 2008, according to government financial disclosures compiled by Merritt Research Services.

Those costs are outpacing growth in tax revenue year after year. In 2016, state and local governments collected about $136 billion more in taxes than they did in 2008, adjusting for inflation. Two-thirds of those additional dollars went to fund pensions and Medicaid, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis of Commerce Department spending data. “The more we stare at the data, the more we realize all roads lead back to Medicaid and pensions,” says Dan White, a director at Moody’s Analytics who has studied the issue.

The resulting revenue squeeze is making it harder for governments to pay for core services such as education, infrastructure, police and fire protection.

They started running

Jeff had just gotten back from picking up dinner from Pappy’s Barbeque which was just up the road from his house. The smokey aroma of the ribs filled The Sipper.  The only thing that kept him from grabbing one was having to deal with greasy fingers sliming up the steering wheel.

He cradled the bags of food in his arms as he tired opening the door to his house – the most used door that opened straight into the kitchen.  Then his phone rang. Crap.  A third thing to do.  Two things were bad enough.

He rushed in and dropped the food on the breakfast table. Reached in his pocket…it was his nephew, Chris.

His 27 year old nephew moved to Las Vegas a year or so ago. It had been eight years since Chris’ dad – Jeff’s brother – had died. Jeff and Chris had kept in contact, talking frequently about news events and money.

Chris was in Vegas to make money the best way he knew how:  gambling.  He was an avid card player and did surprisingly well.  He wasn’t rich…but it paid the bills.  Jeff always marveled at this – since he himself always needed a little more certainty in life.

“Hey, Uncle Jeff!” Chris’ smooth voice was the exact opposite of off putting. Calm, quiet and seem to draw you in.  It expressed a curiosity and hidden knowledge that people picked up on. Jeff realized this was a perfect persona for a gambler.  Silent, non-aggressive and harmless, yet a foe one better be prepared to reckon with.

“Chris!  How are things in Sin City?”

“Well, ok, I guess.  I think they should change the nick name to Binge City.  It better describes what people do when they come here.”

Jeff chuckled. “Well that for sure is “A” sin.  Settling in ok there?”

“Yeah, that’s what I called to talk to you about.”

Jeff picked up on something.  Maybe he wasn't doing as well as Jeff had thought he could do.

“What’s wrong?  Running into a bit of a bad streak? The Mob after you?”

“What?  Hey! No!  I’m doing pretty well.  The bills are being paid.  The Mob loves me –“

Jeff sort of lowered his voice “uh…I’m assuming that’s a joke?”

Chris, chortled “Yes, I’m joking there.  But I am doing a little better than treading water. The bills are paid, I get to eat out.  Stuff a few greenbacks in the bank.  Life is good.”

“So….what’s the call about?”

Chris paused for a second.  “There’s something going on.  There are people here.  A lot of them.”

“You mean over and above the flow of tourists?  Are we talking military?  What?” Jeff wasn’t really serious about the military.  At least he hoped he wasn't.

“No.  No military.  But after the first six months I moved here, you could see something was not right.  I asked my neighbor about it.  He seemed to know more about it than I did.”

“Chris, what’s happening?  What’s going on?”

“My neighbor just said ‘it’s those damn Californians!  I wish they’d stay the hell away.’ Uh, he said that second statement, too.  I didn't say that.”

“I don’t think I understand.  I did read a lot of people in California were moving to Oregon, Nevada and Texas to get away from the taxes.”

“No.  No.  These people here didn't run away from California for that. In fact, I think a lot of them probably haven’t worked in some time.”

“Oh, so they were laid off or something?  Explain to me what you’re seeing.”

“They live in tents.  They are all gathered around the southern end of the city – “

“How many are we talking about?  Ten? Fifty?”

“No.  More like a hundred maybe.  Maybe two hundred – I haven’t tried to count them.  Keep in mind this has been going on for a year or so.”

Jeff realized there was something going on that the news wasn't telling. “Chris, what are others saying?”

“I was at the grocery store yesterday.  I started chatting with a man and his wife.  Turned out they were from California.  They didn't live in a tent.  They’d been living in Vegas for a couple of years.  But they knew more about the people in the tents than I did.”

“So, what did they tell you?”  Jeff was starting to not like Chris’ personality at this point.  It was clear to him that Chris knew a LOT more than he was telling.  This “story building” was getting in the way.

“Okay.  Okay” Chris could sense the impatience. He knew he had to deliver.  “So, the couple said that things in California were way, way worse than we had been led to believe.  The husband and wife were maybe in their 70s. But they still had many friends and family in…what was that city…. [Jeff was losing it now] oh – Oakland. Yeah.”

“So, what’s happening in California?”  Jeff forgot about the ribs. They were cold now.  Dinner was going to have to wait.  His wife had just walked into the kitchen looking at Jeff with that that  “what’s going on?” look.

“Uncle Jeff….the – the…”  Jeff had never ever heard Chris stutter.  He was searching for words to encapsulate what he was seeing happening.  And, being Chris, he wanted to make sure he aptly described the situation in as few words as possible.  But then the words came out in one steady and intense stream.

“California is a listing ship.  Things are getting bad.  This is only the beginning.  It will be holy hell when the ship is upside down.  And the pain won’t stop there.  The true agony will occur when the ship tries to right itself.”

Jeff was stunned.  His mind whirling.  “I…don’t understand a thing you just said.”

Chris – his voice getting calmer and lower – never a good sign. “The shit isn’t about to hit the fan.  It started hitting the fan for a while now.  And it probably won’t stop…for years.  Those people in the tent city?  How are they going to survive in the Vegas heat?  WHAT DOES THIS LOOK LIKE TO YOU?”

Jeff’s eyes popped out.

“They’re refugees. From California.”

There was silence.  Chris broke it.

"There's gonna be millions"

Starbucks, other coffee sellers ordered to warn California customers of carcinogens in coffee

Coffee, other than cigarettes and alcohol, is probably the most researched substance known to man.  You would think that by now, someone somewhere would have discovered this phantom cancer link by now.

What a load of BS.
A judge ruled that Starbucks and other coffee sellers in California must provide a cancer warning on their products for customers.

A nonprofit group sued several companies that sell coffee, including Starbucks, coffee distributors and retailers in 2010.

The lawsuit claimed those companies violated state law, which requires them to warn consumers about chemicals in the roasting process that may cause cancer. One of those chemicals is acrylamide, which is a carcinogen.

Attorneys for about 90 companies said the chemical is present in the process, but that it's at harmless levels and is outweighed by the benefits of drinking a cup of coffee.

The ruling came despite eased concerns in recent years about the possible dangers of coffee, with some studies finding health benefits. In 2016, the International Agency for Research on Cancer - the cancer agency of the World Health Organization - moved coffee off its "possible carcinogen" list.
And we all know now who will profit from this ruling:  LAWYERS. They will probably all make a cool million each.

They started closing....

Jeff hung up the phone. Well, maybe that’s what it’s called.  Literally, he hit the giant red button on his smart phone to disconnect the call.

Sarah came into the den where Jeff was.  “Who were you talking to?” she asked.

Jeff stood, patting his pockets which is usually a sign, when it’s a man, that he’s looking for his car keys.

“That was Phillip. He’s stranded in Jackson.”

“What?  Stranded?”

Jeff was a little concerned (in other words…his forehead started to crinkle). “Yeah….he had round trip tickets for Atlanta to Meridian.  He was visiting his ailing mom...”  His voice trailed off as he looked around the coffee table for his car keys.  He sort of got back on track after he found them 2 seconds later.

“Darndest thing.  The city closed the Meridian Airport. Effective immediately.  No planes allowed in or out.”

Sarah’s eyebrows shot up. “What? Just like that?  With people stranded God know where? Wait, ummmm, the airline doesn't fly to Jackson from Atlanta”

Jeff explained.  “Yeah, you’re right.  They fly from Atlanta all the way to Dallas.  And then to Meridian.   But today…”  He grabbed his coat, shoving his arms into the sleeves while finishing the sentence. “… they were diverted to Jackson, while in the air.”

“In the air? That doesn't make any sense. Was there a terrorist threat?”

“Not that I know of…. But, you never know.  Maybe I’ll hear something on the radio.”

Jeff left his home.  The drive to the Jackson airport is really not a bad drive.  It’s roughly 90 miles; a few minutes off of I-10.

Jeff peered around the pickup point looking for Phillip.  There he was, waving and smiling.  Jeff pulled over and Phillip jostled the passenger side handle…it was locked.  Jeff quickly hit the “unlock” button.  “Sorry about that” he said as Phillip opened the car door.

“Hey!  No problem!  Thanks for rescuing me!”  Phillip was a sort of “loudish” person.  Friendly to anyone and everyone and never held back his opinion.  “Effing stupid airline” he said as he slammed the door maybe a little too hard. “Oh, sorry.”

Jeff smiled a little amused, completely understanding his frustration.

As Jeff looked around to make sure all was clear he headed out to the freeway. “So what the heck is going on?  There was nothing on the radio about this.”

“Jeff, I don’t have a clue.  There was nothing wrong with the plane.  The pilot came on and apologized for the inconvenience and said all service to Meridian was discontinued effective immediately. He said we were landing in Jackson and it was up to us to figure out how to get to Meridian.”

“Doesn't that plane also hop on over to Laurel as well?”  Laurel was another small city that has a small regional airport like Meridian.

“You got it!  Hey, can we stop and get some coffee?  They didn't even have the wherewithal to give us the cheap-ass drink on the plane.  Lousy bastards!”

Jeff winced a bit as he glanced down at his gas gauge needle as it hovered just above “E”.  “Yeah…sure.  I have to get some gas anyway.”

Phillip frowned a little. “Oh, I’m sorry about that.  I’d be glad to help you pay for the gas.”

“Oh, that’s ok. I’m driving ‘The Sipper’ “.  The phrase was something his wife came up with since it got the best mileage of their two cars.

“Holy Crap!  Look at the price!” Phillip said as they coasted down to the only empty pump.

Jeff responded, “I know.  Yesterday it was six bucks even. Look at that.  It’s already up to seven even – uh maybe six ninety nine and nine tenths.”  One of the mysteries in life, how they priced gas.

The Sipper had an eleven gallon tank.  This was going to cost him almost seventy seven bucks.  It was a good thing he lived just 10 minutes to work.  Hard to believe just a couple years ago they were only paying three dollars a gallon. What the heck happened?

Jeff and Phillip both went in to get some coffee and saw a man berating the cashier. He was a large, round man.  He was sweating profusely.  He was almost as loud as Phillip. He looked concerned and maybe a little frantic.

“…no way to get to Columbus now?  I can’t wait for the next available bus.  That's near the end of the day!”

The cashier was obviously getting a nervous. “Mister, I’m sorry I can’t help you. I don’t control the buses or planes or taxis or anything. Either you stop what you’re doing or I’m calling the police!”

Jeff stepped up, not really trying to help but was intensely curious about all of this. “Say, did you get rerouted to Jackson, too?”

The sweaty man turned to him, showing a small amount of relief. “Yes!  Danged straight! I don’t know what’s going on.  I can’t get to Columbus.  The airport there has been shut down! What the hell is going on?”

The cashier, who Jeff noticed was eager to join this conversation. “You guys aren't the only ones.  From what others have said almost all of the regional airports have been shut down.  Everyone has been routed to Jackson.  There are buses but they have all filled up and the waiting list is hours and hours long.”

The sweaty man interjected “But I have to get back home.  My wife is trying to take care of her 80 year old mother all by herself.  I was only gone for two days.  I can’t let this drag out much longer. Gracie has a tendency to wander out the door if not watched constantly.”

Jeff, always the guy to jump in to help said “Hey, I can take you.  The car is a bit small but if you help with the gas, we can get you there pretty fast.  We’re headed to Meridian right now.  Phil, are you in hurry to get home?  I think it would be faster if we headed up to Columbus first and drop off….” he looked at the sweaty man hoping to get his name.

“…Foster.  You can call me Foster”.

“…Foster…first...and then we can head down to Meridian.”

Phillip shrugged.  “Hey I’m willing to help, too.  We can all swap notes on the drive.”

After they got their coffee, they all walked out to The Sipper.

Phillips last words before getting into the car started the long conversation all the way to Columbus. “So he was going to call the police?  Fat chance anyone showing up.  I read the other day Jackson slashed their patrol car budget by half.  Half!  How the hell are they going to ….”

The car doors shut, the large round sweaty man having stuffed his frame into the back seat...and they drove off.

The more things change..... the more they remain the same.

Remember the onslaught on smoking?  And the past several years trying to heighten our awareness of problems caused by obesity?

The post no longer exists, but several years ago, someone stepped forward stating that the war on obesity is following the blueprint of the war on smoking.  So I did a google search using the terms "smoking linked to" and "obesity linked to" and sure enough, it's as plain as night and day. Since the outcome is to ensure the insertion of the government controlling aspects of our lives, why NOT use the same tactics.  It worked once, why not again and again and again?

Whatever they want to control, they can just trot out the scientists who did the "research" and assertively proclaim "[Obesity] [smoking] is linked to [insert disease/ailment/social calamity]"

If you think about it, it all makes sense.  Why change the blueprint?  Or the roadmap?  And once the "call" goes out (as in "early research shows...." then the governments and NGOs start handing out grant money like candy to prove whatever.

So, let's look at.....Climate change along with smoking and obesity:

Now let's look at violence:

Let's look at IQ:

How about racism?

I mean this could go on and on and on.

If you smoke, you're stupid.  If you're obese, you're stupid.  Climate change is making you stupid.  Do they honestly expect us to believe this? Incredible!  I guess they think we're that, uh, stupid.

How bad is it in Sweden? Ask their neighbors/

So what do they think?  I think this Danish comedy sketch pretty much tells what the adjoining countries  think of Whackadoodle Sweden.

REALIST NEWS - Pension Nightmare: CalPERS on the Brink of Insolvency

Jsnip4 covers this pretty good.  I keep telling you GET OUT OF CA!!  When the bottom falls out, that giant sucking sound will be you being pulled down with it.

Here is the link to the article he makes reference to.

The pension crisis at CalPERS is getting worse by the day. The State looks to be totally bankrupt by 2021-2022. CalPERS has just decided to increase the contribution of local governments and cities to their fund. The cities say they are approaching bankruptcy because of rising subsidies, but CalPERS itself is approaching insolvency. The problem is that there really is no honest reform in sight. The choice is clear – CUT pension benefits of government employees or RAISE TAXES! CalPERS simply needs a bailout and very soon. It looks like they are hunting for ways to tax whatever they can for it only now about state employees getting their piece of your future income. This is a trend that will bring down Western society as a whole – the Sovereign Debt Crisis of untold proportions.

In potential blow to conservation efforts, U.S. court rules restoration moves harmed farmers

Of course it is.  And the EPA knows this and doesn't give a HOOT for the Common Man.  And I've never been able to understand how they were able to get away with it after all these decades.  The Supreme Court has already ruled that if a county or state suddenly changes the rules and regulations regarding beach front property that lowers the value of that property, the owner is justified in being compensated for this loss.

A federal judge ruled last week that a federal agency’s actions to improve habitats for endangered species along the Missouri River exacerbated floods, causing damage to local farmers whose land was temporarily inundated. Although this was only the first part of a multiphase case, if the ruling is upheld it could undermine future river restoration efforts nationwide and stymie enforcement of the Endangered Species Act (ESA) by forcing the government to pay damages to any landowner affected by environmental restoration activities.

“The implications of this ruling are huge,” says Brad Walker, who headed river restoration efforts for the Missouri Coalition for the Environment in St. Louis before retiring earlier this month. “It’s attacking the heart of the legitimacy and reason for doing river restoration.” If the ruling is upheld in the next phase of the case, which is anything but certain, “it would effectively kill the application of the Endangered Species Act,” says John Echeverria, an environmental lawyer at the Vermont Law School in South Royalton.

THE CHRISTIAN PURGE: Christian Teacher Dismissed for Saying 'God Loves You' to Lesbian Student

What else could it be?  If you're a devout Christian and try to poke your head up WHACK!  You are TOAST!!!!

I can tell you how all of this will end:  Parents will remove their children from public schools and there will only be a handful of people left for the Leftist to "teach" (aka indoctrinate/brainwash). We are watching the end of public education.

A UK Employment Tribunal has dismissed the discrimination claim by a Christian teacher dismissed by a UK government-funded pre-apprenticeship academy for answering students' questions about her beliefs.

Svetlana Powell, a teacher of some 17 years' experience, was dismissed by the T2 Apprenticeship Academy in Bristol, England in July 2016 after being asked by students about her views on homosexuality. She was also reported as a "radicalization threat" to the government's anti-terrorist watchdog, Prevent.

In reply to a question by a 17-year-old student, Mrs. Powell said that her personal belief was that homosexuality was against God's will, but that He loved every person, regardless of what they did, or who they were.
"I was surprised that my contract was terminated," Powell said. "I was telling them about the love of God and love of each other. For them to compare my Christian views to terrorist acts, that was absolutely appalling."

The Academy's Chief Safeguarding Officer, Sian Prigg, told the Tribunal that after a group of students complained that they were "brainwashed and preached to", she decided to contact the local coordinator for Prevent - the government's 'counter-terrorism' strategy group – to report the incident. Mrs. Powell said she did not know of being reported as a "radicalization threat" until she brought a legal claim against the Academy and read Mrs. Prigg's witness statement for the Tribunal.
This is utterly pathetic and disgusting.  So she is the one "brainwashing" the kids?  Are you kidding me?  We live in an utterly sick and twisted society.

Oh, if you think it will stop at the Christians, forget it!  If you say something like "well, I don't agree with the Christians, but I believe in their right to express their beliefs" get ready.   YOU'RE NEXT!!

If you live in the UK:  GET OUT!! GET OUT NOW!!!

San Francisco could become largest US city to ban fur sales

Fruit case, nut case, Whatever.

I loved Seoul South Korea.  One of the reasons, the South Koreans have no fear of wearing real fur from real animals.
If the Board of Supervisors approves the ban Tuesday, San Francisco would join two other California cities, West Hollywood and Berkeley, in saying no to a symbol of glamour that animal advocates say is built on cruelty and does not reflect the city's values.

San Francisco has a strong social conscience, often at a cost to businesses. Its board banned the sale of menthol cigarettes and other flavored tobacco, which voters will consider in June, and prohibited performances by exotic animals. In 2016, San Francisco approved what was then a groundbreaking paid parental leave law, requiring private employers to offer six weeks of fully paid leave.

No, they have a strong sense of STUPIDITY.

California teacher put on leave after asking if school would allow a pro-life walkout

It seems to me all they had to do was tell her "no".  I think the correct term for this is persecution.
Benzel said “I just kind of used the example which I know it’s really controversial, but I know it was the best example I thought of at the time—a group of students nationwide, or even locally, decided ‘I want to walk out of school for 17 minutes’ and go in the quad area and protest abortion, would that be allowed by our administration?”

She insists she “never discouraged her students from participating” in the demonstration, but considered the propriety of a (public) school supporting some protests … but not others.

[Benzel] says the administration didn’t talk to her about her lecture, last week.

But while thousands of students walked out of class, Mrs. Benzel received a letter from her human resources department, informing her she’s being placed on paid administrative leave.

Californians fed up with housing costs and taxes are fleeing state in big numbers

Pride cometh before the fall.....

Based on the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey data, "lower income Californians are the ones who are leaving, not higher income," said Christopher Thornberg, founding partner of research and consulting firm Beacon Economics in Los Angeles.

He said housing is the chief reason people are leaving California, pointing out there are frequently bidding wars for what limited inventory of homes is available.

A USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times Poll of Californians last fall found that the high cost of living, including housing, was the most important issue facing the state. It also found more than half of Californians wanted to repeal the state's new gas tax, which raised fees by 40 percent.

"The rate at which California has been losing people to other states has accelerated in the past couple of years, in part because of rising housing costs," said Jed Kolko, chief economist with employment website
I hope they are leaving because they read my blog!  But...I know that isn't true. They are living the hell of CA.  GET OUT!!!!  NOW!

Swedish Countess Who Escaped to Hungary: “There is no Public Safety. We Live in Fear.”

I knew it was bad in Sweden, but holy crap! the State doesn't tell you how really bad it is?  Why would a small country like Sweden want to WIPE itself off the map like this?

The only reason I Can come up with is...MONEY!  The intelligensia of Sweden are being bought and paid for their acquiescence.  And when the rape and pillaging really beging, it will be like the last days of Saigon as the Remnant leave in whatever mode they can think of to escape the hellhole that was made

San Francisco is losing more residents than any other city in the US, creating a shortage of U-Hauls that puts a rental at $2,000 just to move to Las Vegas

I think I may need to resurrect my U-Haul Index
San Francisco lost more residents than any other city in the US in the last quarter of 2017, according to data from real-estate site Redfin, which sampled a million users. The data factored in the number of residents that cities gained, meaning San Francisco lost a net 15,489 residents; about 24% more than the next-highest loser on the list, New York City.

This is expected to continue into 2018, considering that, as of February, 49% of Bay Area residents were looking to move out of San Francisco, according to a survey by public-relations firm Edelman.

If that data isn't enough evidence of a heavy migration, consider the shortage of U-Haul moving vans in the Bay Area, which has inflated costs so much that it costs $2,000 to rent a truck from San Jose to Las Vegas — but only costs $100 the other way around, according to local news reporter Michelle Robertson from SFGate.

In fact, it costs twice as much to rent a truck from San Jose to almost any other destination city than to rent the same vehicle in the opposite direction.

Google Puts the Squeeze on LifeSiteNews

This has really got to stop.  The likes of Google, Twitter, etc are becoming politically oppressive.

Google, the world’s most popular internet tool, has removed revenue-generating ads from select LifeSiteNews reports after it deemed that some of the content on the pro-life and pro-family website violated Google standards.
Stories that were regarded as unacceptable by Google included a woman reporting on the sexual abuse she experienced growing up in an LGBT home, a piece featuring a baby born prematurely and looking conspicuously human, one with a video of another conspicuously human fetus still in the amniotic sac, and a story with no images of a baby born alive after an abortion failed.

College librarians argue Christians who say 'God bless you' are Islamophobic

That's PLURAL Librarians.  How many demented librarians are there out there?  And now with the Internet, there can't be more than half of them left!
“Islamomisic Microaggressions are commonplace verbal or behavioral indignities, whether intentional or unintentional, which communicates hostile, derogatory, or negative slights in relation to the beliefs and religious practices of Muslims,” the librarians argue. “They are structurally based and invoke oppressive systems of religious/Christian hierarchy.”
Oh!  So it's Christianity that is oppressive!  Go tell that to the millions of Christians who are dead today at the hands of Islam.

Utterly, utterly stupid.

This Graphene Filter Makes Dirty Saltwater Drinkable

I sure hope this works.  Still today reverse osmosis is an energy hog.  Unless it's brackish water.  That's easier.  Just get it into mass production!

The filter uses Graphair, a type of graphene, a material made from a thin layer of pure carbon. A film made from the new version of the material, with microscopic nano-channels, has a “unique atomic structure where the channel only allows pure water molecules to pass through while rejecting all the bigger particles of contaminants,” says Dong Han Seo, a researcher at the Australian research organization CSIRO. Salt, oil, chemicals, and other pollutants are blocked by the filter, while water flows through.

Typical large desalination plants use reverse osmosis, an energy-hogging process that uses high-pressure pumps to force water through membranes. The graphene filter can be used with a different process called membrane distillation, which runs on a difference in temperature between the clean and dirty water.

Anti-Christian crime causes increasing concern in Germany

What did you expect?  Did you hear my question?  WHAT DID YOU EXPECT?

German conservative politicians have expressed shock after figures leaked by the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) revealed 97 anti-Christian hate crimes in the country last year.

The figure was published by the Funkemedia group several months before the German security forces are due to release official annual crime statistics. A BKA spokeswoman told DW that the figures were still preliminary and could be subject to addition or alteration, and only covered the period up to the end of November.

According to the reports, a quarter of the 97 cases comprised attacks on churches and Christian symbols, and there were 14 cases of violent "anti-Christian crimes" among asylum-seekers or refugees. That number includes the murder of a Christian convert by a fellow refugee in Prien, Bavaria. There were also nine cases of bodily harm.

Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann, of the conservative Christian Social Union (CSU) party which governs that state, told the Funkegroup that integration in Germany required absolute tolerance of Christian values. "Anyone who wants to live here must distance themselves from any anti-Christian disposition," he said. "Otherwise, they are simply not welcome."
OH1 Silly people!  It'll get better!  I'm sure!!

Judge rules California can’t force Christian baker to make same-sex wedding cakes

In actuality of fact, this is EXACTLY the way it's supposed to be.  The opposite would be the doom of the USA.

“It is an artistic expression by the person making it that is to be used traditionally as a centerpiece in the celebration of a marriage. There could not be a greater form of expressive conduct,” the judge wrote.

His decision contrasts with a ruling out of Colorado, where a court ruled that a baker could not refuse to bake for a same-sex couple, arguing the state’s public accommodation law trumped that baker’s First Amendment claims. That case is now before the U.S. Supreme Court.

David Mullins and Charlie Craig filed a complaint after Colorado baker Jack Phillips told them he wouldn’t create a custom cake for a party celebrating their union in 2012, because it violated his Christian faith. After feeling rejected, the couple filed a complaint with the Civil Rights Commission.

As a result of the ruling, Mr. Phillips has not been making wedding cakes at all in order to appease the court’s order and not violate his faith, which has cost him a large portion of his profits.

His case is currently before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Oil World Turns Upside Down as U.S. Sells Oil in Middle East

My only questions is: just how long can this keep up?  And it's not really "crude oil" that were selling.  It's medium to light condensates such as butane, propane, pentane, etc that is captured from fracking wells.  But, it has a lot of value.
Yet, in a trade that illustrates how the rise of the American shale industry is upending energy markets across the globe, the U.A.E. bought oil directly from the U.S. in December, according to data from the federal government. A tanker sailed from Houston and arrived in the Persian Gulf last month.

The cargo of American condensate, a type of very light crude oil, was preferred to regional grades because its superior quality made more suitable for the U.A.E’s processing plants, a person with knowledge of the matter said, asking not to be identified discussing a commercially sensitive matter.

“As a member of OPEC and a large crude producer, I would imagine they would be very self-sufficient in their own crude supply,” said Andy Lipow, president of Lipow Oil Associates LLC. The purchases of U.S. oil aren't likely to continue, given the U.A.E.’s own supply, Lipow said.

Daughter of famed sci-fi author reveals sexual horrors she suffered growing up in LGBT home

What stands out foremost is the complete lack of LOVE.  How can people be this way?

The couple’s LGBT ideology was constantly imposed on the children by both parents. Greyland says that Zimmer Bradley expected her to take on masculine mannerisms and to become a lesbian, and was disappointed in her attraction to the opposite sex, accusing her of being a “breeder.” Greyland also had to hide from her parents her conversion to Christianity which would have been received with terrible derision.

Alarmingly, Greyland reveals that her parents’ sympathetic views of pedophilia and pederasty had been a public fact for decades, one known particularly among science fiction and fantasy fans who attended fan conferences. Science fiction fans documented Breen's molestation of at least ten children by 1963, which had only resulted in his temporary exclusion from the largest science fiction fan convention, Worldcon, and was never reported to the police. Breen continued to attend conferences for many years afterward, baiting children he targeted with abuse with various science education gadgets that would attract their attention.

‘I Forgot My PIN’: An Epic Tale of Losing $30,000 in Bitcoin

We are entering the era of "Trustless" monetary exchanges.  What has happened is banks and credit card companies have proven themselves to be untrustworthy. I won't go into the details, but suffice it to say, that the Wells Fargo credit card fraud reveal did not result in anyone going to jail.

We should all be shocked and incensed with the fact that public trust AND LAWS were broken.  It's not enough for people to just lose their jobs.  They need to pay the penalty and GO TO JAIL!

So, that's the backstory as to why people are getting into bitcoin, lite coin and such.

But with the Trustless system, the customer takes on a very huge burden that was once given to those that showed us they weren't up to the job themselves.  The asset holder must now understand that if he fails to guard his money, he will lose it.

This is the story of one man who very carelessly neglected his asset of bitcoin and almost lost it all.  But through perseverance and determination, he was able to exploit a flaw in the hardware wallet to retrieve his BTC.

I went into her room and looked under her pillow. It wasn’t there. I looked under her bed, dragging out the storage boxes to get a better view, using my phone as a flashlight.

“Carla?” I asked. “Did you see that orange piece of paper with my bitcoin password on it? I can’t find it in Jane’s room.”

“Maybe Jane put it in her desk,” she said. Jane was in school, but I texted and asked her. She said she never saw an orange piece of paper.

“Wait,” Carla said. “We had the house cleaned while we were gone. I’ll call them.”

Carla called the cleaning service we’d used and got the woman who cleaned the house on the line. She told Carla that she did indeed remember finding the orange piece of paper.

“Where is it?” Carla asked.

“I threw it away.”

I knew the garbage had already been collected, but I put on a pair of nitrile gloves and went through the outside trash and recycling bins anyway. Nothing but egg cartons, espresso grinds, and Amazon boxes. The orange piece of paper was decomposing somewhere under a pile of garbage in a Los Angeles landfill.

Carla asked if losing the paper was a big deal.

“Not really,” I said. “It’s just a hassle, that’s all. I’ll have to send all the bitcoins from the Trezor to an online wallet, reinitialize the Trezor, generate a new word list, and put the bitcoins back on the Trezor. It would only be bad if I couldn’t remember my PIN, but I know it. It’s 551445.” wasn't the right password.

Normalizing the chaos in California

The Dems don't know best.  They know least.
In California, the destruction is particularly acute. As the social structure in major cities continues to break down, the state focuses on banning plastic straws, whether to release from prison a mass murderer from the Manson family, while cheering at becoming as sanctuary state.

Just this week, the Los Angeles Times issued an editorial titled, “Los Angeles homeless crisis is a national disgrace.” Actually, it’s not — it’s a California disgrace. The editorial exemplifies the refusal of liberals to not just admit their responsibility to social destruction, but an inability to even relate to reality.

The Times editorial board chided, in part, “Today, a greater and greater proportion of people living on the streets are there because of bad luck or a series of mistakes, or because the economy forgot them — they lost a job or were evicted or fled an abusive marriage just as the housing market was growing increasingly unforgiving.”

They refer to the “economy” as though it’s a mean thing with a life of its own, and simply “forgot” people. There’s no need to consider the actual people in charge of policy and the economy. That lost job, or domestic strife, a mean housing market are all pointed at, as though they were all dropped on earth by Martians.

The other factor is, of course, the social justice issue: “All the great social issues of American society play out in homelessness — inequality, racial injustice, poverty, violence, sexism. …” Never mentioned: idiotic and incompetent liberal leadership that destroys business and jobs; regulations, waste, fraud and abuse that leave human beings on the street because the theory of socialism is all that matters.

Fox News reported that 25 percent of the nation’s half million homeless live in California, the largest of any state. Why is California in such trouble? Todd Spitzer of the Orange County (California) Board of Supervisors “blames the problem on two issues: legislation signed by Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown over the past several years that has eroded the penalties for drug use, possession and petty crimes to where police often don’t bother making arrests; and the change in a law so that treatment is no longer forced for drug abuse or mental health issues.”

For liberals, social chaos is their friend. They need it to prey on the emotions of others, while then using it as an argument for more government control of our lives.

As if living in those conditions is just another life choice, the ACLU tried to stop Mr. Spitzer’s effort to clean up a homeless camp of 700 people living along a riverbed next to Angels’ Stadium. He prevailed, but so dangerous was the environment, it took hazmat crews to clear out the encampment.

“Trash trucks and contractors in hazmat gear have descended on the camp and so far removed 250 tons of trash, 1,100 pounds of human waste and 5,000 hypodermic needles,” the report said.

Standards? We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Standards in the Army

This has disaster written all over it.

“What we have found is it is taking far, far too much time. It’s taking three to four times as much time … just to qualify folks on the hand grenade course than we had designated so what is happening is it is taking away from other aspects of training.”

Plus, trainees just aren’t strong enough to throw the grenade far enough away – and simply can’t be taught to properly throw a grenade “if they haven’t thrown growing up” – Maj. Gen. Frost explained:

“We are finding that there are a large number of trainees that come in that quite frankly just physically don’t have the capacity to throw a hand grenade 20 to 25 to 30 meters. In 10 weeks, we are on a 48-hour period; you are just not going to be able to teach someone how to throw if they haven’t thrown growing up.”

So, in a nutshell, Army recruits now largely consist of wussified young men who throw like girls and a ton of female recruits, who strangely, throw like girls.

Guess what. Our enemies…they can throw grenades. Because our enemies are men who aren’t soy boys.

Frost rambled on…

“Still, the amount of grenade training won’t be reduced – developing enough proficiency to meet the current standards just won’t be required “- “Just because we took it off as a graduation requirement does not mean they won’t be conducting hand grenade.”

“Rather than spend time getting soldiers through the hand grenade and land navigation qualification courses in order to graduate basic, those skills will be incorporated into three new field training exercises, dubbed Hammer, Anvil and Forge.”

General, you’re tap dancing on a minefield. What you’re saying is there are no standards anymore, either on the grenade assault course with dummy rounds, and for actually learning how to throw a live grenade. Soldiers can depart US Army Basic Training whether they can throw a grenade three feet away from themselves and blow their fat Millennial bodies to bits, or maybe twenty feet away in the wrong direction, where they can blow their fat Millennial buddies to bits.

And, oh by the way, apparently land navigation is no longer a requirement at Basic Training. We wouldn’t soldiers to know how to read a map would we?

And, no, you’re not always going to have a GPS.

Frost pointed out some other big changes at Basic.

“What leaders have observed is that, in general, they believe that there’s too much of a sense of entitlement, questioning of lawful orders, not listening to instruction. Too much of a buddy mentality with NCOs and officers,” Frost said.

Recruits questioning lawful orders? Not listening to instruction? In the old days the recruit would be run over by Smokey the Bear driving the Kiwi Express. What was left of him would be digging a ten foot hole to bury a cigarette after he ran two miles around the barracks with a M-60 over his head. But, the Army doesn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings.
