Father of four in California makes his stand against LGBT agenda in classroom

Probably one of the most intelligent responses to the forced teaching of LGBT doctrine I've ever read.

“In our public schools, we want our children to learn math, music, science, English, art, American history and a foreign language or two,” Wasbin wrote, according to Patch. “That’s a lot, and that’s enough.”

“If someone has made an important contribution “ and that person happens to be classified as LGBT — then by all means, let’s teach our children about that person — but not because of that person’s sexual identity group,” Wasbin reportedly added. Wasbin suggested that the politicization of public school curricula could ultimately lead to consequences that would be undesirable for LBGT leaders.

“Today, the state political winds blow from the left; but tomorrow, they could blow from the right, and then our children may be forced to learn about the role and contributions of other groups, such as gun owners, death-penalty proponents and anti-abortion advocates. Do we really want to politicize public education like this?” Wasbin said, according to Patch.

In addition, Wasbin wants school district officials to provide details about how schools will implement the new law. His solution, according to his letter, is to introduce a voluntary course of LGBT study that could take place before or after school.

The Left NEVER thinks through their roughshod policies.

Ban Guns and all's right with the world...right?

In a Leftist State there is no such thing as an end to control.  The best case in point is the Left screaming for more gun control if not outright complete confiscation of all guns.

And let's say if ALL guns were banned and rounded up.  And let's say there was a corresponding decrease in killings.  The Left would finally be happy and live a content, quiet life with the happy feeling of knowing that they did the right thing to make this a better place.

Right?

WRONG! It's like a neurosis.  The need to CONTROL. It's really bad.  How do I know this?

For years I've been off and on following article out of the UK about knife killings.  Articles in the UK press have appeared asking chefs if there really is a need for long knives in the kitchen.  It is the most ridiculous thing you have ever seen.

Here's an article that appeard in 2005 on the BBC website:

A team from West Middlesex University Hospital said violent crime is on the increase - and kitchen knives are used in as many as half of all stabbings.

They argued many assaults are committed impulsively, prompted by alcohol and drugs, and a kitchen knife often makes an all too available weapon.

The research is published in the British Medical Journal.

The researchers said there was no reason for long pointed knives to be publicly available at all.

They consulted 10 top chefs from around the UK, and found such knives have little practical value in the kitchen.

None of the chefs felt such knives were essential, since the point of a short blade was just as useful when a sharp end was needed.

So...now CHEFS with big puffy hats will be the final arbiter as to what knives YOU will be able to cut your steak with or carve that turkey.  The article goes on and on and on with statistics about knives in essence being TOO POINTY!

If any knife is used in a threatening way (even a legal knife, such as a Swiss Army knife), it is regarded as an ‘offensive weapon’ by the law.

Any sharp instrument – even a screwdriver – can be viewed by the police as an illegal offensive weapon if you do not have a good reason for carrying it.

Solar company moving to NM

From what I've read things are improving in CA which is a good thing.  When I started this blog the layoffs and other event were horrifying.

But still, the odd relationship between CA and its green industry remains.  A solar company is moving out of CA to obviously save money.

Solaro Energy has leased space in the Socorro Industrial Park.

That's where they will build a 12,000 square foot building.

The company will create 100 jobs in New Mexico over the next two to three years

Gourmet food business relocates from California to Reno after foie gras ban

CA, a death by a thousand cuts.

Reno could capitalize on a potential tourist draw because California has banned selling foie gras, and those who love the gourmet food are willing to travel here to get it, said Laurel Pine, owner and co-founder of Mirepoix USA.

Pine moved her one-woman, Napa Valley-based Internet business selling foie gras, truffles, caviar and other gourmet foods to Reno last year to avoid the ban that would have shut her down.

“If I had stayed in California, not only would I not be able to sell to Californians, I wouldn’t be able to sell to the rest of the United States,” she said.

Did you read that?  People are willing to travel outside of CA to SPEND MONEY.  Money that will no longer be spent within the boundaries of CA.

There was a foie gras farm in CA....but it laid off its 40 person staff due to the ban.  The owners are looking to reopen in another state.

New California Laws 2013

All 873 of them! Californiality blog has compiled a list of all of them. Perusing through them, the only one I find worth passage was AB 1616 which allows the flourishing of a cottage food industry. The rest either will make things more expensive ("AB 16 - Sets a policy for the High-Speed Rail Authority to encourage purchasing high-speed train rolling stock and equipment manufactured in California consistent with federal and state law and continued investment in California businesses") or creates criminals out of law-abiding citizens ("SB 1221 - Mammals, use of dogs to pursue bears and bobcats.)

Boehner Responds to Reid: 'Go F— Yourself'

Well, it's about time.  If we have more of this from Republicans the Dems in Congress will finally cower like the pukey cowards they are.

John Boehner delivered a sharp response to Harry Reid, who last week accussed the House speaker of running “dictatorship.” The top Republican reportedly told the top Senate Democrat, “Go f— yourself."

“What are you talking about?” Reid replied, at the White House.

"Go f— yourself," Boehner repeated.

The Republicans have been to meek and mild for way too young.  It's time for them to pull out the big guns and whallop them good.  It's perfectly fine and moral to be sly and devious and still be good.
