Judge rules California can’t force Christian baker to make same-sex wedding cakes

WE CAN'T HAVE THIS!  WE MUST MAKE SLAVES OF PEOPLE AND FORCE THEM TO DO WHAT WE WANT INSTEAD OF FOLLOWING THEIR CONSCIENCE!

In actuality of fact, this is EXACTLY the way it's supposed to be.  The opposite would be the doom of the USA.

“It is an artistic expression by the person making it that is to be used traditionally as a centerpiece in the celebration of a marriage. There could not be a greater form of expressive conduct,” the judge wrote.

His decision contrasts with a ruling out of Colorado, where a court ruled that a baker could not refuse to bake for a same-sex couple, arguing the state’s public accommodation law trumped that baker’s First Amendment claims. That case is now before the U.S. Supreme Court.

David Mullins and Charlie Craig filed a complaint after Colorado baker Jack Phillips told them he wouldn’t create a custom cake for a party celebrating their union in 2012, because it violated his Christian faith. After feeling rejected, the couple filed a complaint with the Civil Rights Commission.

As a result of the ruling, Mr. Phillips has not been making wedding cakes at all in order to appease the court’s order and not violate his faith, which has cost him a large portion of his profits.

His case is currently before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Oil World Turns Upside Down as U.S. Sells Oil in Middle East

My only questions is: just how long can this keep up?  And it's not really "crude oil" that were selling.  It's medium to light condensates such as butane, propane, pentane, etc that is captured from fracking wells.  But, it has a lot of value.
Yet, in a trade that illustrates how the rise of the American shale industry is upending energy markets across the globe, the U.A.E. bought oil directly from the U.S. in December, according to data from the federal government. A tanker sailed from Houston and arrived in the Persian Gulf last month.

The cargo of American condensate, a type of very light crude oil, was preferred to regional grades because its superior quality made more suitable for the U.A.E’s processing plants, a person with knowledge of the matter said, asking not to be identified discussing a commercially sensitive matter.

“As a member of OPEC and a large crude producer, I would imagine they would be very self-sufficient in their own crude supply,” said Andy Lipow, president of Lipow Oil Associates LLC. The purchases of U.S. oil aren't likely to continue, given the U.A.E.’s own supply, Lipow said.

Daughter of famed sci-fi author reveals sexual horrors she suffered growing up in LGBT home

What stands out foremost is the complete lack of LOVE.  How can people be this way?

The couple’s LGBT ideology was constantly imposed on the children by both parents. Greyland says that Zimmer Bradley expected her to take on masculine mannerisms and to become a lesbian, and was disappointed in her attraction to the opposite sex, accusing her of being a “breeder.” Greyland also had to hide from her parents her conversion to Christianity which would have been received with terrible derision.

Alarmingly, Greyland reveals that her parents’ sympathetic views of pedophilia and pederasty had been a public fact for decades, one known particularly among science fiction and fantasy fans who attended fan conferences. Science fiction fans documented Breen's molestation of at least ten children by 1963, which had only resulted in his temporary exclusion from the largest science fiction fan convention, Worldcon, and was never reported to the police. Breen continued to attend conferences for many years afterward, baiting children he targeted with abuse with various science education gadgets that would attract their attention.

‘I Forgot My PIN’: An Epic Tale of Losing $30,000 in Bitcoin

We are entering the era of "Trustless" monetary exchanges.  What has happened is banks and credit card companies have proven themselves to be untrustworthy. I won't go into the details, but suffice it to say, that the Wells Fargo credit card fraud reveal did not result in anyone going to jail.

We should all be shocked and incensed with the fact that public trust AND LAWS were broken.  It's not enough for people to just lose their jobs.  They need to pay the penalty and GO TO JAIL!

So, that's the backstory as to why people are getting into bitcoin, lite coin and such.

But with the Trustless system, the customer takes on a very huge burden that was once given to those that showed us they weren't up to the job themselves.  The asset holder must now understand that if he fails to guard his money, he will lose it.

This is the story of one man who very carelessly neglected his asset of bitcoin and almost lost it all.  But through perseverance and determination, he was able to exploit a flaw in the hardware wallet to retrieve his BTC.

I went into her room and looked under her pillow. It wasn’t there. I looked under her bed, dragging out the storage boxes to get a better view, using my phone as a flashlight.

“Carla?” I asked. “Did you see that orange piece of paper with my bitcoin password on it? I can’t find it in Jane’s room.”

“Maybe Jane put it in her desk,” she said. Jane was in school, but I texted and asked her. She said she never saw an orange piece of paper.

“Wait,” Carla said. “We had the house cleaned while we were gone. I’ll call them.”

Carla called the cleaning service we’d used and got the woman who cleaned the house on the line. She told Carla that she did indeed remember finding the orange piece of paper.

“Where is it?” Carla asked.

“I threw it away.”

I knew the garbage had already been collected, but I put on a pair of nitrile gloves and went through the outside trash and recycling bins anyway. Nothing but egg cartons, espresso grinds, and Amazon boxes. The orange piece of paper was decomposing somewhere under a pile of garbage in a Los Angeles landfill.

Carla asked if losing the paper was a big deal.

“Not really,” I said. “It’s just a hassle, that’s all. I’ll have to send all the bitcoins from the Trezor to an online wallet, reinitialize the Trezor, generate a new word list, and put the bitcoins back on the Trezor. It would only be bad if I couldn’t remember my PIN, but I know it. It’s 551445.”
But....it wasn't the right password.

Normalizing the chaos in California

The Dems don't know best.  They know least.
In California, the destruction is particularly acute. As the social structure in major cities continues to break down, the state focuses on banning plastic straws, whether to release from prison a mass murderer from the Manson family, while cheering at becoming as sanctuary state.

Just this week, the Los Angeles Times issued an editorial titled, “Los Angeles homeless crisis is a national disgrace.” Actually, it’s not — it’s a California disgrace. The editorial exemplifies the refusal of liberals to not just admit their responsibility to social destruction, but an inability to even relate to reality.

The Times editorial board chided, in part, “Today, a greater and greater proportion of people living on the streets are there because of bad luck or a series of mistakes, or because the economy forgot them — they lost a job or were evicted or fled an abusive marriage just as the housing market was growing increasingly unforgiving.”

They refer to the “economy” as though it’s a mean thing with a life of its own, and simply “forgot” people. There’s no need to consider the actual people in charge of policy and the economy. That lost job, or domestic strife, a mean housing market are all pointed at, as though they were all dropped on earth by Martians.

The other factor is, of course, the social justice issue: “All the great social issues of American society play out in homelessness — inequality, racial injustice, poverty, violence, sexism. …” Never mentioned: idiotic and incompetent liberal leadership that destroys business and jobs; regulations, waste, fraud and abuse that leave human beings on the street because the theory of socialism is all that matters.

Fox News reported that 25 percent of the nation’s half million homeless live in California, the largest of any state. Why is California in such trouble? Todd Spitzer of the Orange County (California) Board of Supervisors “blames the problem on two issues: legislation signed by Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown over the past several years that has eroded the penalties for drug use, possession and petty crimes to where police often don’t bother making arrests; and the change in a law so that treatment is no longer forced for drug abuse or mental health issues.”

For liberals, social chaos is their friend. They need it to prey on the emotions of others, while then using it as an argument for more government control of our lives.

As if living in those conditions is just another life choice, the ACLU tried to stop Mr. Spitzer’s effort to clean up a homeless camp of 700 people living along a riverbed next to Angels’ Stadium. He prevailed, but so dangerous was the environment, it took hazmat crews to clear out the encampment.

“Trash trucks and contractors in hazmat gear have descended on the camp and so far removed 250 tons of trash, 1,100 pounds of human waste and 5,000 hypodermic needles,” the report said.

Standards? We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Standards in the Army

This has disaster written all over it.

“What we have found is it is taking far, far too much time. It’s taking three to four times as much time … just to qualify folks on the hand grenade course than we had designated so what is happening is it is taking away from other aspects of training.”

Plus, trainees just aren’t strong enough to throw the grenade far enough away – and simply can’t be taught to properly throw a grenade “if they haven’t thrown growing up” – Maj. Gen. Frost explained:

“We are finding that there are a large number of trainees that come in that quite frankly just physically don’t have the capacity to throw a hand grenade 20 to 25 to 30 meters. In 10 weeks, we are on a 48-hour period; you are just not going to be able to teach someone how to throw if they haven’t thrown growing up.”

So, in a nutshell, Army recruits now largely consist of wussified young men who throw like girls and a ton of female recruits, who strangely, throw like girls.

Guess what. Our enemies…they can throw grenades. Because our enemies are men who aren’t soy boys.

Frost rambled on…

“Still, the amount of grenade training won’t be reduced – developing enough proficiency to meet the current standards just won’t be required “- “Just because we took it off as a graduation requirement does not mean they won’t be conducting hand grenade.”

“Rather than spend time getting soldiers through the hand grenade and land navigation qualification courses in order to graduate basic, those skills will be incorporated into three new field training exercises, dubbed Hammer, Anvil and Forge.”

General, you’re tap dancing on a minefield. What you’re saying is there are no standards anymore, either on the grenade assault course with dummy rounds, and for actually learning how to throw a live grenade. Soldiers can depart US Army Basic Training whether they can throw a grenade three feet away from themselves and blow their fat Millennial bodies to bits, or maybe twenty feet away in the wrong direction, where they can blow their fat Millennial buddies to bits.

And, oh by the way, apparently land navigation is no longer a requirement at Basic Training. We wouldn’t soldiers to know how to read a map would we?

And, no, you’re not always going to have a GPS.

Frost pointed out some other big changes at Basic.

“What leaders have observed is that, in general, they believe that there’s too much of a sense of entitlement, questioning of lawful orders, not listening to instruction. Too much of a buddy mentality with NCOs and officers,” Frost said.

Recruits questioning lawful orders? Not listening to instruction? In the old days the recruit would be run over by Smokey the Bear driving the Kiwi Express. What was left of him would be digging a ten foot hole to bury a cigarette after he ran two miles around the barracks with a M-60 over his head. But, the Army doesn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings.

DEATH OF A COUNTRY: New South African President to Follow Zimbabwean Redistribution Model

This is the absolute definition that has been dragged out repeatedly for Insanity.  Why the ANC thinks it will work better the SECOND time is beyond me.

Then I realized... they are Communist.  It DID work the first time in Zimbabwe.  The white farmers were gone!  It didn't matter that it impoverished their county.  Who cares?

In an address to the parliament meeting in Cape Town a few days ago, Ramaphosa said, “The expropriation of land without compensation is envisaged as one of the measures that we will use to accelerate redistribution of land to black South Africans.”

He claimed that this will heal divisions and injustices of the past, arguing that the original European colonists took land away from indigenous black tribes 400 years ago.

Confiscation is another word for theft, all done under the cover of law — what 19th-century French philosopher Frédéric Bastiat aptly called “legal plunder.” Besides its dubious morality, this policy has predictable economic consequences.

All South Africans have to do is look next door to neighboring Zimbabwe, formerly known as Rhodesia. Rhodesia was another black-majority nation with a white minority that ran the government and owned most of the land, until pushed into opening the polls to the black majority. That is when Robert Mugabe, a self-proclaimed Marxist-Leninist, took over the country after winning the 1980 general election. Almost immediately, Mugabe began a land-redistribution program.
