Most of the 1.3 billion pounds of pumpkins produced in the U.S. end up in the trash, says the Energy Department’s website, becoming part of the “more than 254 million tons of municipal solid waste (MSW) produced in the United States every year.”So, we'll see them complain about Christmas trees next, right? And then when Easter rolls around, the EPA will complain about all the hard boiled eggs.
You do realize what this "announcement" is for, right? The purpose of the declaration WILL LEAD TO LIMITS on pumpkin production and usage.
