Parker says, "When you go to put on your clothes in the morning or if you go by furniture you don't have to go to the window to see what it looks like, light should be full spectrum and should look like sunlight and should be healthy and that's what Soraa brings to the market."
The State has also kicked in $90 million in incentives the Governor says will leverage over a billion dollars in private sector investment the next ten years.
“Soraa is a $1.3 billion enterprise, 420 jobs and that's what this is all about my friend. It’s about creating jobs for the future," Governor Andrew Cuomo says.
The shell of the facility should be finished by the end of the year. Production is slated for the second half of 2016.
