Wood fire pits could pose health problems for beach residents, AQMD study shows

Got this link from  More preposterous faux science.
According to this week's study, wood smoke contains toxic, cancer-causing chemicals as well as common combustion pollutants such as nitrogen oxides. Numerous health studies during wildfires show that wood smoke causes respiratory irritation and an increase in hospital admissions for respiratory problems.
What is the relevance of giant wildfires and a fire in an open pit?  How idiotic!
The study also found wood smoke is the source of carcinogenic toxic pollutants, including benzene, formaldehyde, and poly-aromatic hydrocarbons.
The study "found" this?   You mean no one else knew this before?

California is presently battling wildfires that have burned through 28,000 acres of land.  It is the height of stupidity to go after the tiny little pit fires while the wildfires are spewing huge pollutants into the air.
