California minimum-wage bill goes to committee

Two job killers:  Obamacare and higher minimum wages.  Double whammy.

The minimum hourly wage in California is currently $8, but the Democrat’s bill would raise the state’s basic pay to $8.25 in January 2014, and then raise it again every year by $0.50 until 2016. Starting in 2017, increases in the minimum wage would be tied to the California Consumer Price Index.
